Before you download
Do you know how to install an APK file?
Android will show “Permission required”. If you have never seen that window, watch the demo: one minute, and you will know what to tap.
Installing KlayMi, screen by screen
Android blocks apps that don't come from Google Play. You only need to allow it once for your browser: here is exactly what you will see.
Tap “Download the APK”. When the download is finished, tap “Open” in the notification.
Android shows “Permission required”. That's expected: don't tap “Cancel”, tap “Settings”.
Turn on “Allow from this source”, then go back. You only do this once.
If Play Protect warns you, tap “More details” then “Install anyway”: KlayMi simply isn't on Google Play yet.
Installing takes a few seconds. Tap “Open”: sign-in is by SMS, without a password.
Still stuck?
- I tapped “Cancel”
- No problem. Open the “My Files” (or “Files”) app, go to Downloads and tap the klaymi-….apk file: the same window comes back.
- “App not installed”
- The file may be incomplete, or an older version is in the way. Download again from this page; if the message comes back, uninstall the old KlayMi and start over.
- Nothing happens when I tap “Download”
- Open this page in Chrome or Samsung Browser rather than from WhatsApp or Facebook: their built-in browsers often block downloads.
- I can't find the file anymore
- Open the browser menu, then “Downloads”. You can also tap the button again: the link always serves the latest version.
Once KlayMi is installed, you can turn the permission off in settings: it is no longer needed, and updates will be announced in the app.
